Organizational Role: Individual will support Missile Defense Agency mission and quality assurance by participating in multi-disciplinary teams conducting quality and mission assurance evaluations, audits and assessments for proposed and existing missile defense components and architectures. Provide technical expertise in software quality to Mission Assurance Management in performing oversight of design and development efforts, responding to design and development concerns, supporting failure review boards/investigations, and aiding in the implementation of CMMI processes. The successful candidate will act as an integral part of the team to ensure the delivery of products and services that always meets and usually exceeds customer expectations.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
• Support requirements identification and development process by evaluating and assessing planning, design, development, production and operations for missile defense software architecture and systems.
• Provide QA experience within a cross-platform enterprise software development environment.
• Work with a broad variety of development, testing and production issues in software design and analysis, production, and testing and a full understanding of software integration and systems operation.
• Ability to use requirements, design, code and testing tools to characterize issues in software development and operation.
• Support failure review boards (FRB) from a system of system (SoS) testing efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Background in NASA and/or DoD launch vehicles and/or satellite systems and experience with Ballistic Missile Defense Systems a plus.
• 7 years of QA experience in a software development environment
• Experience with designing/assessing/evaluating mission critical software and project management a plus.
• Well-versed in software design methodologies to pursue system specifications and design definitions.
• Ability to write technical reports and present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Skilled in written and oral communication and capable of daily direct customer interaction.
• Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical and programmatic problems.
• Bachelor’s in System Engineering or equivalent; Master’s a plus
• Secret Clearance
