Job Description

The J2EE Developer is responsible for the technical development of all back-end/mid-tier development and promotion for a Healthcare Management Website.

The developer works closely with designers, web developers, system analyst, product and/or subject matter experts to develop solution.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience with J2EE technologies

• Participate in the design and planning of the application architecture to support goals of the project.

• Develop applications that are deployed to the WebSphere Application Server and Tomcat.

• Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

• Understand and deploy various types of application packages including JAR, WAR and EAR files.

• Experienced with Spring and Spring MVC Frameworks

• Experienced with Hibernate or JPA.

• Experienced with Web Services.

• Utilizes a working knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues (error messages, bugs with the software, availability ).

• Enforcement of standards and best practices.

• Proactively communicates with the development and QA team to anticipate configuration management issues/processes.

• Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.

• Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle.


Requirements
Preferred:

• Experience with WebSphere Application Server 6+ or higher

• Provides technical expertise to functional teams on integration/?configuration of peripheral infrastructure with WebSphere including permission management LDAP, Database, middleware and web servers.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; can set priorities and follow a time line.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

• Experience with Scrum, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, User Acceptance Testing is preferred.
