The Coleman Group, Inc. is a Management Consulting Service and Information Technology Solutions Firm with Federal Government and private sector clients. We offer services such as Program Management, System Engineering, Security Engineering, Physical Security, and ID Solutions, and Business Transformation Services. We are a cleared security facility headquartered in Lanham, Maryland, with field offices in Silver Spring, MD and Boca Raton, Florida.
We have multiple immediate openings for a Full Time and Part-Time Record Research Analyst(s) to review criminal history reports and provide general investigative case file support, as part of employment background investigations for the Federal Government. The Record Research Analyst is responsible for the following:
Reviewing and confirming the accuracy of all criminal history reports of applicants, including verifying the identification number against court or disposition papers; all listed demographic information such as race and gender as well as the date of birth to make sure it is identical to the employee’s application and data file; validation of any conviction dates, and disposition.
Maintaining working knowledge of the requirements and processes for requesting criminal record (rap sheets) for each state and, where necessary, draft pre-employment inquiries regarding the arrest records for management review and approval.
Maintaining and updating the temporary employee files associated with the background investigation including but not limited to updating relevant databases with findings as required.
Qualifications:
Must have law enforcement, security, and/or legal adjudication background.
• Applicant must be familiar with pre-screening tools and adjudicating FBI criminal history reports.
• Must have 3-7 years experience in law enforcement, security, or legal environment.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have expertise and/or working knowledge of Federal Security Protocol guidelines, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) guidelines, and Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPD), considered a plus.
• Applicants should possess secret clearance and/or be able to pass for background investigation for public trust.
Work Schedule and Location:
Full time, Record Research Analysts will work 8 hours each day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding government holidays. Part time Records Research Analyst hours are negotiable. This position is in Suitland, MD.
Salary:
Full Time Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000; Part Time Salary Range: Negotiable
