Duties and Responsibilities:
An expert, establishes very complex operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems assigned. Oversees and maintains file servers, network access; documents, analyzes and troubleshoots system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. Prepares system for operational use and support operational tests. Provides team leadership to less experienced specialists. Must be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests and troubleshoot solutions of complex operational problems (Oracle, Windows, Solaris). Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work. May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate will possess intermediate to expert:
* Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris) (e.g., installations, upgrades, and patch updates).
* Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
* Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking, and host configurations.
* Hands-on experience with volume management (e.g., ZFS, Solaris Volume Manager).
* Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Xen, xVM, Solaris Containers, VMWare, LDOMs).
* Skills in LDAP directory server administration.
* Shell scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Ruby, Python, BASH).
* Knowledge of account management and information security best practices.
?Knowledge of Windows 2003 and/or 2008 Server.
?Workstation support (windows 2000, XP, and Vista).
? Knowledge of Microsoft office 2003, and 2007.
?Anti-virus and spyware software support.
?Remote desktop setup and configuration.
?Hands-on experience with hardening of Windows systems.
- Bachelors Degree with 10-12 years of experience.
