Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Support user requirements of complex to highly complex software applications or IT systems.
Develop, review and execute rigorous, repeatable and detailed system test cases to assure requirements satisfaction, traceability and coverage.
Ensuring that the test design and documentation support applicable project, client, agency or industry mandated standards.
Perform system testing activities at multiple application checkpoint (e.g., installation, user interfaces (i.e., client and web-based), integration interfaces, security, database, debug and system logs, etc.)
Maintain status of test case execution and inform team leads / project managers of any deviations from user requirements or testing procedures.
Document application defects and validate subsequent fixes.
Able to develop and execute simple to complex Oracle SQL queries.
Must possess experience of system engineering in one or more areas including computer languages, operating systems, database/DBMS and middleware.
As needed, direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.
Familiarity with multi-tiered applications deployed to Solaris, XP and Vista OS.
Familiarity with Solaris OS commands a plus.
Familiarity with Mercury TestDirector 8.0 and Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 a plus.
Familiarity with Army manpower/budgeting systems a plus.

Required Qualifications: Requires bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field or equivalent, and5-7years of related experience.
