Job Description

Education Required:
BS in an Engineering discipline is required for this position. A MS in engineering is preferred. Equivalent experience as a Communication Systems Engineer can be substituted.
Techincal Skill Required:
Senior Communication System Engineering/Designer; Certified Juniper System network Engineer. Experience with current Juniper Hardware is a must.

Hands-on experience with COTS communication products including Juniper routers, switches, JUNOS, Marconi ATM switches, Domain Name Servers (DNS), Sidewinder firewalls, and data encryption products including the KG-175 TACLANE. Proven Communication Network Engineering in the DoD environment. Knowledge of MDA and the BMDS. Minimum DoD Secret Clearance, Top Secret is a plus. Familiarity with CTTO and/or C2BMC is a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include systems engineering design of DoD Communication networks (from requirements phase through fielding) for the Ballistic Missile Defense Communications System (BMD COMNET) and associated test networks or similar multi format application layer systems. Candidate will support the national team Network IPT development process to ensure a structured development process and the required design documentation. The candidate will focus on design and configuration as well as integration testing of Juniper appliances and software. Candidate may develop deliverable documents and perform document reviews. Strong teamwork, collaboration, verbal and written presentation skills are required. Some travel will be required to support site implementation, beginning with requirements gathering, and ending with implementation.
Other:
Candidate should possess experience with communication firewall security devices. The candidate should be familiar with automated test tools.
