The Learning Solutions Project Manager is responsible for multi-faceted project management activities related to the entire lifecycle of learning to include needs assessment, gap analysis, content design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage federal instructor-led and web-based training projects , including hiring and managing consultants and staff members; forecasting, planning, managing and tracking budgets; creating work breakdown structures; developing and writing project plans; and executing deliverables
Collaborate with peers and clients to develop training development strategies, design training plans and write learning objectives, including identifying appropriate content and sequencing for courses and modules
Design and develop instructional/educational courses, including but not limited to facilitator/instructor and participant guides, reference materials, exercises, and supplemental training materials (e.g., posters, job aids, online/web-based content and storyboards, etc.) in adherence with any provided documentation standards
Review products for completeness, compliance with standards and consistency with design plans
Conduct or participate in train-the-trainer, pilot sessions, and course overviews, as necessary
Oversee training evaluation strategies
Support the development of internal corporate business proposals designed to obtain additional human capital management and training business for the firm
Contribute to project growth by seeking opportunities to expand existing work
Provide input to business development team regarding potential opportunities associated with assigned clients
Attend client meetings and help present information on content and development
Skills and Experience:
Must have at least five years of prior experience as an ISD managing federal learning and training projects
Experience using the ADDIE model, and working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Working knowledge of the federal government’s training practices and issues related to learning management required
Must be able to work as a leader and/or member of a team of contractors and/or federal employees in a variety of disciplines
Consulting experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred
Knowledge of 508 compliance and SCORM requirements preferred
Education:
Master’s required in Instructional System Design, Education or other related field
PMP certification preferred
