Job Description

General roles & responsibilities:
- Work with development team and user community to analyze requirements and understand BI needs
- Design, development, testing and tuning of data transformation and loading processes utilizing Oracle PL/SQL
- Design, implementation, and testing of data transformation and loading processes utilizing ETL tool such as Informatica or SAP Data Integrator
- Work with Business Objects Universe designers to build effective Universe and creating database objects to optimize query performance
- Development and maintenance of processes to ensure data quality

Required Skills:
- Relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills
- Advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development skills
- Understanding of data retrieval, transformation, and data warehousing architecture
- Ability to gather data requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Good understanding of Oracle design, architecture, security & performance tuning
- Strong conceptual and analytic skills
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal/team skills
- Well organized and detail oriented

Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in Data Warehouse development including data modeling, ETL, and performance tuning
- Experience architecting data warehouse solutions using Oracle
- Experience with data retrieval, transformation, and data warehousing architecture options in Oracle
- Design, development, testing and tuning of data transformation and loading processes utilizing Oracle PL/SQL and ETL tools
- Experience w/ medium to large-scale systems

Additional Desired Skills:
- XML / XSLT / Web services development
- Experience with Business Objects Enterprise BI toolset, specifically Universe Designer and QaaWS

Clearance:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Security clearance is required to start work & will be obtained by employer prior to start of employment
