Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for the development and engineering efforts that are primarily applied to systems and networks enhancements, telecommunications upgrades, engineering efforts applied to adding new systems to the IT portfolio, and all necessary testing IAW the system engineering methodology and certification processes.
Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Responsible for the design and implementation and documenting new technologies
• Designing and supporting data center networks
• Designing and supporting customer network implementations
• Adhere to systems engineering process and controls for system engineering method proposed.
• Perform architecture analysis tasks and deliver business process analysis and re-engineering with documentation.
• Apply the methodology of the DoD Architecture Framework.
• Support specification development within the acquisition process for future upgrades of systems or new system or component installations-life cycle planning. Develop business case and supporting data where warranted.
• Apply system engineering principles, methods and practice to all development and engineering efforts through the Program Office system life cycle, to include testing and reviews.
• Provide in-depth analysis or requirements from the government and their impact to the target accredited network system.
• Provide Cross Domain Solutions (CDS); 1) upon successful Cross Domain Solution(CDS), support potential external network corporate application integration in that PROGRAM OFFICE portal. Coordination with external engineering and security required 2) connect additional partner programs
• Generate technical documentation pertaining to the acquisition of such services, engineering changes and telecommunications (telco) circuit replacement. Manage associated service factors such as T1 provisioning and program voice/data units and service distribution to the Program Office.
• Ensure that all hardware, software, network devices and peripheral equipment are functioning properly and serviced.
• Provide network management support through system management tools ensuring effective and efficient management of the system.
• Document and test all network expansions, modifications and upgrades prior to implementing in production.
• Ensuring hardware, software, and network upgrades, installs, re-installs, changes and relocations are efficiently completed as required.
• Planning and implementing network security, including setting up firewalls, managing host security, applying cryptography to network applications, and regulating file permissions.
• Support the Program Office telecommunications systems management and provisioning. Provide necessary network engineering to upgrade or increase network efficiency and optimization
• Review current systems and make recommendations for improvement with the goal towards redundant and reliable systems, supporting full compartmentalization across the Program Office framework.
• Support design and planning for continuity of operations(COOP) of the Program Office system.
• Provide systems engineering and analysis for program needs relating to potential external organization interconnections. Engineering support may include consulting to external organizations for the purpose of CONOPS development and necessary technical guidance and documentation.
• Manage enterprise network management tools and services.
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for ensuring the superior quality and performance of the network systems and products for high-profile multi-agency projects.
