More Than 600,000 Stimulus Jobs Are On The Way Thanks To President Obama's Stimulus Plan
600,000 jobs are soon to be delivered through President Obama's $787 billion stimulus plan this summer. Federal agencies will be spending billions on public works projects, schools and summer youth programs.
Spending has already begun in the areas including maintenance projects at military bases, teachers, principals, school support staff, and state road and airport improvements.
Obama has now promised to speed up the pace of federal spending over the next few months to help boost the economy and get people back to work.
Billions of stimulus dollars are on the way to states in the coming months via Federal agencies.
Following is where you'll see stimulus jobs being created:
Health and Human Services - 1,129 health centers to provide expanded service for 300,000 patients
Interior - 107 national parks
Veterans Affairs - 90 medical centers in 38 states
Justice Department - 5,000 law enforcement jobs
Agriculture Department - 200 new rural waste and water system projects
Environmental Protection Agency - 20 Superfund sites
